Abstract
Studies have shown that one curriculum or instructional form does not work for all students. Students come to the classroom with different backgrounds, interests, and learning styles. It is important to differentiate reading in the classroom since early reading skills can affect students' self-esteem, their ability to independently acquire knowledge, and potentially their success in future education and careers.
