Abstract
Students at-risk for academic failure include English Language Learners, migrant students, special education students, children of poverty, homeless students, and students in foster care, children of abuse or neglect, and children with social, emotional or behavioral concerns. Kindergarten Connection is a program and curriculum attempting to address barriers by identifying concerns prior to kindergarten and connecting families to school and community resources. Efficacy of the program and curriculum were examined during the pilot phases to determine if it has merit for future implementation
